The Wisbech Players notched up some successes at the annual Hunstanton Drama Festival recently.
Their entry, She Was Only A Farmer’s Daughter, a one-act melodrama, was directed by new member, Yvonne Kniveton won Best Technical for presentation and costumes.
Another new addition to the society, Phoebe Green (pictured) walked away with the Best Female Youth Actor award in this, her first outing with the Players.
Seasoned member, Martin Lightburn was runner-up in the Best Actor category and Chris Moment was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor role.
During the successful performances of Cheshire Cats, a nightly raffle took place. The proceeds of £285 from this raffle have been donated to the breast care unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn. Our social secretary presented the cheque to the hospital on behalf of the Wisbech Players.
